Default Using an LCD tv as a monitor?

We are planning on purchasing an LG 32" 1080P 120Hz LCD tv next week: TV & Video: Television: LG 32" 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV** (32LH40) - Best Buy Exclusive | Best Buy Canada Web Store. The plan is to use it as a monitor for the computer in order to save spave in the living room (my computer is next to the tv). Now, I was planning on getting a Spyder 3 Pro to calibrate my monitor. So my question is, can it be used to calibrate the tv as well?

I'm not sure about Spyder 3 Pro can calibrate a LCD TV. You may need Spyder 3 TV instead. My LCD TV was professionally calibrated by an ISF certified technician.

that's an interesting point. I always wondered if I shelled out for a Spyder if I can use it on my LCD tv that's connected to my PC or laptop
