Question Need help with purchasing Canon Lens.

I have a Canon EOS digital Rebal XTI 400 D. I have a 18-55mm and a 70-300mm lens. I was wondering if someone could recommend a good lens that I could get with a good range between these 2 lens without switching back and forth so often? Is there an 18-250mm or something that would work with this camera? I would like a good lens but not real expensive.
Appreciate any help with this. I shoot outdoors, close-up, portrait.

Look into the Sigma 18-200mm EX lens.....(also see the "new lens" post)
