Default AB1600 vs Flashpoint II 1220A Monolights

I'm leaning tword the AB1600 but does anyone have any recent experience with the Flashpoint II 1220A monolight? I'm looking to buy two monolights, stands, unbrullas, etc.

1220APWK Flashpoint 1220A Portrait Wedding Monolight Kit, with Two 1220A Monolights, Stands, Umbrellas & Case is $680 with free shipping

The Digibee package with two AB1600 would run $870 + shipping

So for an extra $200 bucks you get 800 more effectve ws and a known light with good service. Still the cost of the Flashpoint II is intersting.

I'm starting out doing studio work. I've done a bit in the past, but this will be the first studio that I'm going to set up. I would like enough light to shoot single models and groups up to 5-6 people. I would also like enough light to do automobiles every now and then. So whatever light I get I will need to use it cranked down most of the time.

Thanks, Chris

PS anyone have any AB1600 they want to sell?

If you've used these types of lights before, then you may know exactly what you want. However, for most the AB1600 is overkill. Have you considered starting with an 800 instead? I don't have direct experience with either kit, so I can't tell you the gritty details between the two.
