The Sandisk Extreme IV is very fast. I also have a medium fast card(Lexar) and a run of the mil card (Transend). In camera I can't tell the difference. All of the cards can keep up with the camera shooting raw out to about 12 frames @ 4 frames per sec. After that the buffer starts to fill up. When shooting action (sports) I typically find myself shooting for bursts of 3 to 6 frames then a pause then another burst - all the cards will keep up all day long.
Someone with a 7 or 8fps camera may notice a difference. Where I do notice a difference is downloading the images to the computer. The extreme is noticably faster...but I don't see that as a critical point in the process. I have not experienced any data loss or card failures....yet. |
