Hi,
Picture the scene........Saturday morning, you've just finished pottering around the garden trying out your new filters. As always you give your equipment a once over before packing it away and notice a couple of specs on the lens, so out with the cleaning fluid and wipes. You gently squeeze the fluid bottle aiming for one drop onto the lens.........SPLOOSH!!!!! as the nozzle ejects from the bottle thus emptying its contents over the lens and body. All this a week before you depart on a 3 month tour of India ![]() OK, so this happened to me last weekend. My camera/lens (Sony A350/Sony 18-200mm) was shipped off to a lab, the prognosis coming back that both were now scrap as they will never be able to get ALL of the fluid out of the body & lens! To cap off the day my point & shoot, itself an expensive piece of equipment in 2005 (Olympus C765) has refused to work after spending 18 months in a box! This all leaves me with a couple of questions which the good members of this site might be able to help me with.... 1. Are there any UberTechy establishments/photographers who could resurrect my gear or is the initial prognosis final? 2. Does anyone know of a reputable electronic/photographic emporium in Delhi where I could pick up a bargain of a point & shoot? Many thanks in advance and still excited!! ![]() Tony |
