Question Camera rentals or borrowed lenses where to go?

Which sites do you deem reliable for rental lens or borrowing lenses?

I've used www.borrowlenses.com, and I had a very easy and good experience with them.

I've rented twice from lensrentals.com. In both instances I rented for a 7-day period. You specify in advance the date you'd like the lens to arrive; each time the lens arrived a day earlier than requested, but that extra day doesn't count toward your rental period. So effectively I had an 8th day with the lens.

The lenses arrived in a padded box complete with lens cap and hood. Shipping is also included and they came with a pre-addressed label for the return.

On my last day, I simply packed the lens back in the box and let UPS have it at the drop off.

I received an email 2 days later indicating that they had received the lens.

Very nice, efficient, and worth it to me.

I'm a fan of lensrentals.com myself. Mainly because they are local to me and place my order on the web and just go pick it up. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

My personal favorite is cameralensrentals.com. Of course, I'm highly biased by their selection of Pentax lenses.

Default Lenses for hire

For anyone in the UK, Lenses For Hire are very good. Rented a Canon 10-22mm recently for a very reasonable price, they were a pleasure to deal with and I know have a lot of good reviews from others too. Hoping to use them again soon.

Default Candian Rentals

Last May I rented a lens from Lenslenders.com. I wanted it for a weekend. I live in a rural area with notoriously poor postal service, so I was concerned that I wouldn't receive it on time. It arrived 2 days early, and they didn't charge me extra for the Monday holiday. I confirmed this in advance because I knew I couldn't mail it back because the post office would be closed. So I paid for 3 days and had it for 6!

I was extremely pleased with the service and the quick responses to my email inquiries. I thought the price was reasonable.

I will definitely rent from them again.

Renting is a great way to try out a lens before buying. I knew I wanted this lens in my permanent collection when I missed having it available after returning it to Lens Lenders.

I have also used lensdepot. Great for locals. The equipment is good, but I don't know anything about the shipping rates.
