I am new to this and I already have dust on the lens I purchased at Best Buy this Dynex lens cleaning kit. How good are these products? I was hoping it came with a website or something with video demonstrations but all it tells you is to use this pump brush on your lens and then apply 2 drops of this solution on this lens tissue and wipe lens surface which seems easy enough.
Is there a good guide step by step that you recommend for lens cleaning and also for cleaning the cameras sensor itself I know this product is onyl for lens cleaning but if it ever came a time to remove dust off the sensor I know I am supposed to lock the mirror but thats all I know. I am newbie to this and trying to learn so forgive me if I am sounding a little too cautious just want my product taken care of and to last. I have a nikon d5000 |

The dynex cleaning solution should work just fine. My friends use a lens pen and after watching them clean their glass I think this is the best way to do it while out in the field. Having a bottle in your bag that could open and leak everywhere could damage your gear if you don't put it in a ziplock bag; even then the bag could get tore or open on it's own spilling the contents everywhere. Having lens cleaning tissues in your bag often times gets them dirty quickly.
In the future I would consider getting a lens pen. They are cheep and last a long time. As for cleaning your sensor here is a good resource. Introduction - Cleaning Digital Cameras - D-SLR Sensor Cleaning.
