Card Readers

Hi Everyone
I need to buy a card reader for the compact flash and sd cards used in my digi cameras.
Has anyone got any comments god or bad on what is out there? Price is not an issue as long as it brings with it quality and long term benefits.

I got me a Lexar firewire CF reader, works much faster than any USB reader I've tried. The only downside is that it requires the Firewire-6 connector (because that includes power) and thus won't connect to my laptops (which only have the smaller Firewire-4 connector). It won't do SD cards, but in my experience it's so much faster I would rather have this one and a separate SD reader than a combined USB unit.

I use an 800 to 600 cable and it works fine, unless you're talking about one of the really little connectors.

Firewire 400 and 800 are protocols/speeds, 4 and 6 describe the number of pins in the connector. They really are different things.
