Travel Lens Choice

Hello. This may be one of those "how high is high" questions but I am hopeful for some engaging feedback. Nobody ever accuses this group of being shy!

I am returning to Paris for another 10 days in late November. This is my favorite time of the year to visit this great city because by about 4.30 or 5pm, its easy to understand why it is called, "The City of Light."

I will probably carry one or two lenes at the most and this is the source of my question. I have a 50mm 1.8, a 12-24mm f4, and a 28-200mm f5.6. Paris is getting tougher to do regular street photography because of many of the insane new French rules, which is a tragedy worthy of its own postings. There is a part of me that thinks, "Just bring the 50mm and be done with it." This lens will certainly give me the speed for evening shots, as well as the encouragement to "get close." I'm still new and rusty with the 12-24mm but I do like what it does when I'm working very close to capture details. And of course the 28-200 is a real work horse, but I have to avoid the tempation of moving out to 200mm and trying to hand hold with slower shutter speeds.

Paris has been photographed a BILLION + times so I'm not out hunting the standard tourist/ building shots (except when my wife insists!). In writing this post, I am hoping to hear a variety of opinions which might help me shape my efforts as I walk through this so lovely city. I've been fortunate enought to have spend nearly 2 months worth of total time in Paris and I'm not exhausted yet!
