Help needed to select Canon lens for jewelry

I need a lens for my Canon T1i that will allow me to do close ups of my handmade jewelry. DH used to do my photography but a divorce necessitates learning to do my own. I have the lights, light tent, etc. but need to buy the right lens for the job. Can anyone help?? Thanks so much!

100mm F2.8 Macro Lens. They recently announced an IS version of this lens. For your particular use photographing jewelry you would not need the IS.

Well, the image stabilized version is an L-Series lens. It has a pretty hefty price tag of $1,049.

But, I own the 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro lens, and I love it. From what you have said, it seems like it would fit your needs quite well, especially if you already have a tripod and remote shutter.
