Post Wireless remote shutter HELP!

I recently brought a VERY cheap £2.00 wireless remote for my Nikon D40 on Ebay and i was just wondering... How do i use it?
It didn't come with anything telling me how to install it or what settings i have to change.
So if you would help that would be great!

It's a Jueying remote controller.

I own Canon, but probably is the same. I just have to set the camera on self timer and it will be ready for the remote.
