Anyone ever use those fisheye attachments for the lenses? The ones that attach at the end of the lens to give it that fisheye look? Ive been wanting to get a lens to get the circular fisheye look to some photos and have been looking for a cheaper alternative that isnt a waste of money (cant afford a couple hundred on a new lens just yet).
If anyone has used those attachments, let me know the feedback on them (good, bad, dont make good photos, etc) Thanks in advance! |

Don't waste your money. If you want a half-assed solution there is software that will convert a normal photo to a fisheye effect.

My personal take is get a cheap Russian fisheye: Zenitar (diagonal) or a Peleng (circular). They're better than those fisheye converters, if not as good as the higher end fisheyes, but they won't cost you an arm and a leg, either. Software can't really replicate the feel of a fisheye simply because you won't have anything like the exceedingly wide FoV to play with.
rugift has 'em, although most folks seem to buy them from eBay. In Canon mount, the Zenitar's about $200, the Peleng about $380.
