I've moved this to the gear section and dropped the link. If someone from the company had posted this straight off, it would definitely have gone in the spam bin. Looking at the price compared to what is promised, I suspect Max's assessment of the quality may not be far off.

Has anyone used a kit like this and got comments. Reviews of gear you've used are great but, without experience, it's just a free advert for the company and may mislead someone else to buying something that is substandard.

Thanks,

Wulf

I've got a larger ProMaster version of this kit and find it "barely mediocre". The "tripod" is a complete joke and utterly useless to support anything larger than a cardboard disposable camera. The lights (when they work) burn VERY hot and smell like they are about to combust. The white shell does what you think it should do and is the only marginally usable component, but even at ~ 15" is on the small side. This one is only advertised 8".

If you really want a light box at a budget price, take a trip to the DIY sites followed by JoAnne Fabric and Home Depot.
