Default Lens Caps

Okay, so maybe this is a silly question, but ... what do you do with your lens caps? Do you use one of those little leash gizmos? Stuff them in your pocket? Use a UV filter and then not bother with caps? Not bother with them at all? What?

I stick it into my pocket or into my camera bag.

Usually in my pocket, camera case, waistband etc. Anywhere I can.

It depends. Sometimes I put it in my pocket, and sometimes I put it in the bag. Mostly, it goes in a pocket for easy access in case I want to put it back on the camera temporarily.

Being old school, I wear a photographers vest. Into the pocket of the vest.

If I'm shooting at home, I just leave it in the bag. If I'm out I'll stick it in a pocket.

Never could stand a lens cap swinging around hanging off my lens.

I use my pocket, but one word of warning, depending on the pocket you put it in the cap can collect dust on the inside surface which then transfers to the lens, which kind of defeats the whole purpose - personal experience of putting it in my jeans pocket

This is also why I always check to make sure that the lens cap is clean before I put it back onto the lens a quick blow or two will get off any dust it picked up.

I TRY to stick them in my pocket, but I have been known to set them down and forget about them until later. In fact I just had to buy 3 (!) new lens caps ( I bought a spare) because I lost them in my absentmindedness.
