Velcro circles? What a good idea. Hey, I've stuck them to my spinning wheel, why not my lens cap?

That is brilliant!

I have one leashed to the camera body and make a point of swapping out the caps after changing a lens. This way I don't get the chance to put it down for a few seconds and walk off and forget it as I've done on numerous occasions.

While the generic caps are reasonably cheap, the 'official' manufacturer ones with the nice little words or logo are horribly expensive in comparison.

Pocket. My lens cap lives in my pocket when I'm shooting. Sooner or later I'll just start leaving it in the camera bag when I take out the camera.

I find it quite a pain when you see the perfect "kodak moment" but you're struggling to get the cap off, specially if you also have a hood. I bought one of those super spensy high end canon lenses that comes with the suede lens bag, it has a firm round bottom end so I just throw the bag on the lens without the cap so when I'm out and about I can just slip the cam out and shoot. (probably not the best practice, I totally don't recommend it to anyone) but it works for me and will definetely work when I get a filter/protector.

I'm with you. Also absentminded. I used the leashes for a while, but did't really like the cap dangling around. Now I try to put them into the bag, but sometimes they make it into a pocket, and then... who knows. I think they may transmorgrify into used batteries. I should have a standing order with my local store and have them ship me some every few months.

Default Lens Caps, filters and pockets

I use a lens cap leash. However, I always find myself changing in or out a polarizer, et cetera. So, I end up removing the "lens cap leash" when I take off a filter and need to use the lens cap to protect it in my pocket or wherever it ends up...

I shoot off an ATV frequently and, subsequently, own stock in both the lens cap manufacturer and whoever makes the circular polarizers I lose... If you are ever in Helena National Forest and find a polarizer/star filter/neutral density filter/ attached to a Sigma lens cap, think of me.

Oh, and I lost a pair of Nikon binos somewhere out there, too...

+1 for pocket!

I usually just give it a quick blow before returning it to the lens, as my pockets are (usually) a bit dusty.

Out in the field, it's usually in my pocket all day long. I rely on the lens hood to do most of the protecting. Unless it's windy or raining.

Default Okay here's where mine goes...

I put my cap in my bra. I have a little pocket there so it won't touch my skin. You can make it yourself if you wanted to. Quick and easy for the ladies. I hate the leash things. This works efficiently for me. If I am really in a rush, between the cleavage. Haha. You do what you gotta do.
