i usually take the lens cap off as soon as i take the camera out of the bag and drop the cap back in the bag before i put the camera around my neck.

in cases where i forget to do that i just put it in my pocket. back pockets are bad especially if you think you might sit down.

oh, i have a vest but i think it makes me look fat so i don't wear it too often.

I know that not all women's clothing have pockets (I have never seen guys shorts w/o pockets - do bottoms exist for men w/o pockets...?) so I have also had to replace many a lens caps (well, two) and b/c of that I opt for the dangly gizmo, BUT, I do hate how it looks. But, I do not want to be nickled and dimed b/c I forgot where I put something or b/c my darling hubby throws it out!

Count me as another person that puts the lens cap in their pocket. That way I always remember where it is.

my lens cap goes into my pocket as well. i was looking at those string things for a couple dollars. but it kind of seems silly to buy them.

Lol ... sounds like we need a poll!

I'm another pocket-person. There are times when I just grab my spare CF card, stuff that in my pocket too, and leave the camera bag in my trunk. I just need to find a better way to carry around a bottle of water with me, and I'm set!

Generally in my pocket, although sometimes it takes a quick search to remember which one! I like the idea of those leashes although it sounds like they can be inconvenient.

I bought sheet of the little velcro circles.....on one the lens and one on the strap from my camera bag. I was forever looking for the caps usually in my pockets but sometimes I would set it aside and then move to another shot....and lastly search 20 minutes for my cap! Now its always right there on my camera bag...you can also put them on your camera strap if you use them and then its always right there.
