Default What is the best 70-200 f/2.8 lens

I wish to buy Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 vr II lens. But I always notice that almost many will sell this lens after 1-2 weeks usage.. What's wrong with this lens and which is the better one?

I heard Tamron 70-200 is not good @ low-light... Sigma one produces softer images..

Your advice is highly appreciated.
Ty.

the Nikon lens is awesome. I can only speculate they sell it once the Mastercard bill comes in the mail.

Really? Have any sources on that one.

The Nikon one IS the better one. The VR I is a great option for DX users, but the FX really benefits from the VRII

Mudah.my - The marketplace of Malaysia. You can do observation on the buying / selling. I wander how to check the 2nd hand Nikon lens 70-200 VR II for defect

VR 1 is great for DX than VR 2? Why?

How about Tamron 70-200? or Sigma 70-200. What makes Nikon lens better than these two cheaper ones?

The link you provided just goes to the main page: Where, exactly, are you seeing "many" people selling their NIkon lenses soon after buying them?

The VR1 isnt the best in the corners, but on DX that doesnt matter because it gets cropped out by the sensor. The VR2 does better on FX because they fixed a lot of the optical issues in the VR1. The VR1 is a "better" fit for DX because it's considerably less expensive than the VR2.

Off-brand lenses are good, but its almost impossible to beat the Nikon/Canon offerings.

I've had my VR2 since they came out with it. I haven't resold it once. Beats the pants off the VR1, which wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination.
