Default lack of threads on fuji finepixs S3400

I have the finepix S3400 & the camera has no threads on the lens to fix any filters to it. All I want is to fit a filter & lens hood but all I can find out there is the Kiwifotos S3200K lens kit or a two part adapter without hood & filters. The problem I think with the two piece adapter is (tell me if i`m wrong) if you put on the back adapter & filter you cant use the zoom because it will smash the filter. If you put on both you cant use the wide angle & if using macro you will get vignetting. Is there just a pushfit adapter to go on the lens & not the camera body so I can use filter and hood without having to change adapters all the time & not having to worry about smashing a filter. I found this on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=T_o_-R5C7EA Any idea who produces this piece of kit. Just to add an update, There is a company called Cotrim who produces lens adapters in Brasil. If anyone wants the link here it is. http://produto.mercadolivre.com.br/M...3250-s3200-_JM

Hi ether,

Well I got the kiwiphotos accessory for the S4000 series. It allows 72mm use and as you mention, you have to factor in whether you'll be zooming, so I carry a camera bag with the barrel, filters, flower hood etc. For wide angle, just unscrew the barrel (takes 3secs) and with the adapter you still have the option of a filter.

You can't really smash the filter (I've accidentally tried) - the zoom action isn't fast enough and the camera simply prompts you to turn the camera off and on again - at which point you realise you don't have the barrel extension on!

I think it's worth the minimum hassle, given that there's no thread otherwise and it opens up a lot of doors for IR, diopters, CPL and ND use on a low-budget bridge camera
