My Sigma f1.4 50mm might have focus issues

Well I bought it few weeks ago but I'm in Croatia (in South Europe).

But it does seem that this particular problem is global.
Well I recommend you test the lens immediately, it's very easy, as someone said in this thread, in good light, on a tripod, autofocus on some contrasty surface, text is the best from my experience, and then turn off auto-focus and try to manually 'sharpen' it. if you can get better results, autofocus is not working as it should. Then you send it back for calibration or a new lens.

Yes, but I'm gonna take it to the repair shop with my waranty, and let them try to repair it. If they fail I'm gonna have to ask them new lenses until I get the one that works.

I don't want to pay $700 (price in my country) for a piece of gear that doesn't work 70% of the time, as the poster below you noted.

Do you think I should send these images to Sigma directly to ask them for opinion?
