Default Camera bag to include tripod?

I am looking for a new camera bag to hold camera, 3 lenses, flash, softbox, filters, batteries, cables, etc, plus a tripod and a few Mars bars. Want one that is good for a few hours of hiking but also to allow quick access to camera and tripod (hate carrying separate tripod bag).

I have looked on-line at the relatively new Lowepro Slingshot AW and the Lowepro DSLR Video Fastpack AW series. Both have features to carry a tripod.

Has anyone tried these and have any comments, good or bad, or any other suggestions.

Thanks.

You want to carry all of that for a few hours hiking AND you want it to be convenient/quick? Not going to happen. (At least not unless everything is of the "lightweight" variety)

For serious hiking with gear (I consider several hrs fairly serious) I would suggest Mountainsmith backpacks... I have an Odyssey which is like the current Parallax Pro. I can carry a studio with me fairly comfortably, but it's not convenient.

I might consider the FastPack for lighter gear, but I have no experience with it.

Lowepro flipsides are seriously comfortable for hiking, one of the bigger models might squeeze in all of that. If not leave out the mars bars and you'll be fine.

I have a Gura Gear Kiboko that I use when I'm rolling heavy.

On the Lowepro side I don't think the Slingshot series would be large enough, even the biggest one if you're going to include a softbox on top of everything else.

Thanks for all the replies. I have opted for a Kata 3N1-30 plus its tripod bracket which claims to do everything I want.. I will report back once it arrives and I have had a chance to use it fr a while.

@zona5101. Thanks. Nice looking backpack - not sure it provides easy access to the camera without taking it off though. I went for the Kata due to its ability to be work with both straps for those 20 mile hikes along the Pembrokshire coast path, as well as being able to be work with 1 strap for sling operation with convenient access to the camera. Time will tell...
