Default Infrared conversions
I upgraded cameras last year, and now it's time to find something to do with the old camera. I've wanted to do infrared stuff, but am wondering about the conversion services. I've done some research, but I haven't found anyone with consumer experience using the conversion services (maxmax, Spencer's, or LifePixel). Anyone with experience? Is it worth $300? I plan on doing this with a Canon Digital Rebel/300D, if that matters.

Resurrecting this:
I have enough hilton honors points to get my choice of superzooms, which I can then have converted at another company, Kolari Vision. Anyone had any experience with any of these companies?

Should I go for a fujifilm finepix s4200 or canon g12?
