Canon EOS 18-55 replacement

Hello mates.

I was recently shooting some fotos in Miami and after switching lenses, forgot my 18-55mm lens; it's safe to assume I'll never see him again. On that note, I am looking for a new lens. Currently I have the Canon f/1.8 50mm. I would love to have a wide angle lens, as well as a macro/zoom lens. I am fairly new to photography and I am open to any suggestions. I will visiting Cuba in 1 month and would love to take great photographs while on the island. Thank you!

As far as I know there are no true macro zoom lenses. True 1:1 macro lenses are all primes - 60mm, 100mm, 135mm. Some zooms can do good closeups, but not true macro.

There are some good wide angle to short telephoto zooms, like the highly respected EF-S 17-55 f2.8 that I have. Sigma and Tamron also make them in that range.
