Default Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 (for Canon)... Your Thoughts?

Dom Bower recommended this highly and was curios if anyone here had any bad experiences with the lens on a canon body? Also I couldn't figure out if the lens is designed for full sensor or crop sensor camera bodies, if anyone knows which camera sensor its designed for, for I can know how much field of view I would have on my crop sensor camera.

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di Autofocus Lens for Canon AF09C700 B&H

The designation Di means full frame.
(Di II means APS-C Crop camera)

The field of view will be close to 45mm to 120mm (just multiply the real focal length by 1.6) .

I don't own this lens.

I have one and generally use it in preference to the canon L as it is lighter. It seems to preform well.
