Default LCD Screen Hood

Has anyone used one of these? Amazon.com: Fold N' Go LCD Hood Sun Shade and Hard Screen Protector for Nikon D3100 , D5100 , D7000 and More DSLR Cameras with a 3.0" LCD Screen **Includes Camera Cleaning Kit**: Accessory Genie

I'm trying to accessorize my Nikon D5100 with the small stuff right now, and am wondering if this is a help, or if it's more in the way.

Thanks

Confessions are good for the soul. I bought one and never use it. My hand works well enough when needed.

I've never used one either. I think that if anything was protruding from the back of my camera, I would probably bang something into it and break it.
