I'm in the UK and I am looking for a tripod around the £30-40 mark and I would like to know which one is very good? Want one with a spirit level on and capable of putting in a bag or rucksack etc please? Many thanks.

OK. I'll bite. I use a pretty good tripod that cost me $35USD + shipping. It's sturdy, compact and comes with a decent ball head. I found a used Manfrotto 804RC2 pan/tilt head for $35 and it makes for a decent unit for not a lot of money. AX620B100 Dolica 62 inch Proline Aluminum Alloy Tripod and Ball Head, Supports 13 lbs

Like so:https://www.google.com/search?q=1000usd%20in%20gbp On topic, be careful about getting cheaper equipment, like tripods. Other members have referred to this as the "tripod tax". If you buy a cheap tripod and it's low quality and doesn't serve you properly (because it's cheap), afterward you spend money on a quality tripod in addition to paying for the crap one that you'll never use again. You could probably get away with something like this, Manfrotto 7303YB M-Y Tripod with Ball Head: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics Providing it supports the weight of your equipment and has the features you want. Personally I would expect to pay more around £120 for good tripod legs and a ballhead. If you purchase wisely, you only have to buy it once.
