Now, I'm pretty sure that the higher end models including the r2400 let you beat 44 inches - Just specify roll paper and then create a custom paper size. The upper limit on length is around 12900 (129.00) inches
if the drivers cant do it, you can use a utility It's still possible to best the 44 inch limitation, but you'll need to find a 3rd party RIP (rasterization program) to do it I think. I've heard from reliable sources that they exist, I've never needed to go looking for one that can do that. You can also find a utility that may allow it, such as the one here http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/re...2&changemode=1 You're other best alternative may be a custom lab. If using Epson software - and the R2400 drivers cant handle it - you can try to print two consecutive images on roll paper and have no border between them, you should be able to get them to conjoin - but you may get some noticeable seem in the process as the borderless modes often have super precision problems. I suspect it would be more involved but possibly give less of a seem to try printing with borders that have set lengths and making sure there is a pause between images, and moving the roll through the paper by a set amount the border length. (you'd basically need to make measurements of how far to turn the roll to achieve the distance you want - and use some test paper to get it done. it would be tricky and may take many tries to perfect.
