Default Click Performance Packs, anyone have one? Thoughts?

Im looking for a lightweight daypack to use when we go hiking or even just walking around the zoo. I saw the Click Compact Sport and thought it looked interesting Compact Sport | Clik Elite

If you have any other recommendations I would love to hear them. My requirements are lightweight and small (carrying a DSL with smaller telephoto lens,18-200, or prime), option to attach a tripod, and chest clip for those long days. Waterproof cover would be nice, but not required.

I love the looks of the Lowepro Photo Sport bags, but from what I can tell theres no way to attach a tripod Lowepro | Photo Sport Series

Even a small tripod is going to drastically alter your methods and attitude for shooting, at that point you've given up on small, light and fast.

Yeah thats a given, when you add a tripod you gain weight. The requirements I listed are for the backpack, nothing else.

Vary true, may I suggest a gorillapod? I always throw one in when I go hiking. And its saved my butt a ton of times.

I have and love my gorillapod. Its always with me, but nothing replaces a true tripod.

Yes, but my steel and aluminum Bogen is not what you'd call good for hiking

Depending on you budget, get a small, light, carbon fiber one. You will not regret it. As for the bag, it looks OK. But the best thing is to go and actually throw your gear in it and walk around.

Thanks for the info, but I wasnt actually looking for info on a tripod since I have already bought it. Im looking for info on daypacks that will give me the option to attach a backpack when needed.

No experience with the Clicks, but they are supposed to be good. If the LowePro will mount trekking poles then it should be possible to mount a small tripod. A monopod would probably be better. for either bag. A good tripod strap (Op tech) in addition to the bag would be my suggestion for when you want to bring the tripod.

But for what you are asking, I would suggest the Lowe-Pro Mini-Trekker.
I've had a couple. Good bags, I just don't like backpacks for most uses.
