Default Help with Black Rapid RS-Sport w/ Battery Grip

So I just got my Black Rapid RS-Sport and love it with one exception which I'm hoping members here can help me. I have it attached to a Canon 60D body with a battery grip and when I try to shoot vertical I don't have enough slack to bring the camera up to my eye to take a shot. Shooting horizontal I have no problem and its great how fast I can grab the camera from my hip and I'm ready to shoot. Now I have tried using the strap without the battery grip and I was able to shoot vertical no problem its just when the grip is attached I'm having an issue.

So I'm just checking to see if there is a certain way I need to setup the strap to take vertical shots with a grip. I have tried loosening up the strap and it helps a little but its just very awkward and slows me down when I'm ready to shoot. I'm 6'3" and 215 lbs if that matters. I wonder if the RS-7 would be better for my situation.

i do not have that issue. Stupid question I know but, you have the strap oriented correctly and have the stops set properly?

Yes I believe the strap is oriented correctly with the R logo facing out on my left shoulder and the camera resting on my right hip. I guess I could try playing around with the stops to see if that can improve things.

Are there any good videos showing how to properly use?

I know there are vids on the BR site...there are probably others. You have the strap oriented like I have mine. I have one stop at the bottom of the loop on the right so the camera can't go back any further and I have the other stop up about mid chest height.

when bringing your camera up you run in to the strap end? If so rotate that strap back so the "R" is higher on your left shoulder, like right next to your left clavicle. You may have to reposition your bottom of the loop stop on the right...but you should have enough strap to move that camera and battery grip up across your chest.
I bet this would be a lot easier to solve in person
