Default Lens Suggestions??

I am currently looking to purchase a new lens and would like some suggestions. Currently, I shoot a bit of everything and I am looking to complete a well-rounded lens collection. In my bag I have:

Nikon AFS DX 18-55
Nikon AFS DX 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 ED VRII
Nikon 50 f/1.4 AF-S

My next purchase is going to be the 70-200 f/2.8 but I would like a second lens. I was debating between the DX17-55 f/2.8 or the FX 24-70 f/2.8. I shoot with the D300S but in the future hope to upgrade to an FX format. Is it pointless to buy in the DX format? I have heard nothing but amazing things about the 17-55 but the 24-70 seems like a better choice.

ALSO, what is your favourite wide-angle, either the regular or fish-eye. My passion is landscapes and architecture so I would like a great lens to accommodate this.

I'm a Canon user here, so i'm generalizing.

Wide angle: If you want to do landscapes and architectural, go with a normal WA. Yes a fisheye will get you more in the shot, but you will have do a c***load of distortion correction.

I would try the 24-70 and 17-55 in a camera shop. See what you like better. However IMHO for crop, I would go with the 17-55.

The 24-70 is a great lens, and on an FX body will behave the way the 17-55 does on the DX. If you are going to go FX then get the 24-70.

As for wide that depends if you are sticking with DX or are looking for something that will work for you on DX but really be designed for your move to FX. If you need fast and wide, then get the Nikon. I fin most of my really wide shooting is of landscapes so I don't really need fast and thus went with the Sigma. I had the Sigma 10-20 but sold it and bought the Sigma 12-24 when I got my D700.
