Nikon SB-900 - Does this work with the R1C1/R1 kit?

Hello, I am new to this forum so I'm sorry if this topic is in the wrong sub-forum.

I am "noob" in Photography but I want to progress further by purchasing lighting equipment to take more enhanced photographs.

Since I already have the Nikon SB-900 Speedlight flash, I was wondering is it possible to use it as a command module for the R1C1/R1 kit? If yes, would I need to purchase everything else separately?
