Here is what I have currently
Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6L IS USM Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 EF IS USM Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM. I plan on Replacing the, Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 EF IS USM with the, Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Would these 3 Lenses give me an equivalent and/or better range than I currently have or should I keep all 4 lenses?

Unless you're heavily into using the 70-135 range on the 28-135 all the time, I'd say you're ok. Overlap and covering every single focal length can be overemphasized for some people. Having a focal length gap can sometimes mean just taking one or two steps forward or back, really.
But to me, the issue here, really is that you're on a crop body. 24mm still isn't that wide. Sure you don't want the EF-S 17-55/2.8 or the EF-S 15-85/3.5-5.6 IS USM instead?

I was hoping that this lens would be the go to lens shooting a lot of indoor stuff like weddings, graduations, in church with no flash.
But give me a little bit of reach. You know...them shots where your kid looks a mile a way on the alter and everyone that is 6'6" is in front of you and you have to sort of zoom through everything. I was looking at the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM but think the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM is a better choice for my shooting needs. A faster lens compared to IS Maybe someday I can also get a real wide like the EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM

Yeah, the 24-70 is a go-to wedding lens. But personally, I'm eccentric. I use a 135L for the kind of shots you're talking about.
![]() ![]() Canon XT. EF 135mm f/2L USM. iso 1600, f/2, 1/250s. Most folks would probably grab a 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM II for this. Or grab a cheaper prime, like the 85/1.8 or 100/2. I'd say analyze the EXIF on the shots you've taken with the 28-135, and see what focal lengths you used the most with that lens, and how many shots you took were in the 24-70's range.
