That flash bracket seems huge. They all do, really. But them's the breaks. The one you're reviewing is really quite large and cumbersome though.

One issue worth noting is occasionally I will let go of the bracket with my left hand so I’m only holding the rig with my right hand on camera. I do this sometimes to zoom the lens or manually focus. When holding the fully loaded bracket in that position it can rotate on you due to the weight and rotational torque. I would recommend holding the bracket with your left hand and using your right hand for zooming or precision focusing. No big deal really, but it is an adjustment when your so used to zooming with your left hand all the time like me.
Deal breaker. If I cant zoom while holding the camera, it's useless. The user shouldnt have to remove their right hand from any controls to adjust zoom. Everybody zooms that way: its how cameras are designed. For this device to have a flaw that forbids you from doing that without issue is simple unforgivable.

small feature but sure seems nice to have ia bracket that can stand on it's own! I have a seiglelite bracket and i have to lay the camera on it's back when I set it down. It is light and functions well for my purpose. If I would need to replace it, that QRS-H2 looks pretty sweet. Nice write up.
