Question Anyone know anything about htis lens??

75-300MM F4.5-5.6 MC MACRO SUPER COSINA

Nikon Mount

I found this lens at a local store (listed online, haven't seen it yet). I can't call them till Monday. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about it. I can't seem to find any information about it online at all.

Thanks

Okay, first off: What are you looking for in a lens?

Besides "cheap", obviously.

Nothing specifically, wasn't even looking for a new lens just yet. Just happened across these when I was looking at something else. I know they are old, but all three are AI, that I do know. Just thought if they were good old lenses in good shape they may be worth it. I know nothing at all about them.

they are not particularly good lenses. The Cosina and Albinar even less so than the Tokina. Worth what? maybe $20-40. Why bother really except as a curio.

worth bothering with out of a fascination for doing things the hard way
For a lens that will be manual focus I'd want something more than an old 3rd party ho-humm lens. Something like a macro lens or a nice fast prime....

When I was taking photography classes, our instructor had us use old lenses for 3 days. Everything had to be done manually, and there was definitely no IS. It definitely makes you appreciate all those little features that come with today's lenses lol.
