Default Is it broken?

So today I was at a family member's house, had my camera on the strap around my neck, with my 18-55 mm lens attached (I actually really like that lens and use it more than any). I had two plates of food in my hands, walking outside, I kicked the screen door open and tried to exit, but the door spring came back and popped the front of my lens. Then lens cap was on, nothing was visibly damaged, no marks or dings, but the autofocus stopped working. I switched it to manual focus, turned the front of the lens and I felt a little give at one point, like it had been jammed. Then I switched it back to autofocus and it worked again, for the rest of the day.
As of right now, it is still working.
It is clear what I did, I jammed the front of the lens but I am wondering is if I should expect to now have problems with this lens? Like I said, I really like that lens, it is on my camera 90% of the time unless I am doing paid work, then I use something else. But for candids/family stuff, that is what I use. What do you all think?

Is it focussing properly? If it works use it til it stops. But keep another lens handy.

It could just be that the impact jarred the micromotor for a bit and you moving it re-set it.

It appears to be focusing properly now. Here is a photo that I took after I did this. Does it look in focus to you?

Thanks. I am hoping that it is something simple like this.

Remember, the motor in the AF-S lenses uses gears: if you bounced a driver or another gear off a bit, it might not work automatically, but using the manual focus may have re-positioned the gear (or another part) in the right spot. After all, its not like they can go very far!
