Default Light Stand Recommendations?

Looking for recommendations on a light stand.

I would like it as lightweight as possible, as I would like to carry it on remote shoots.

Extension to 8' - 10' if possible.

FWIW - I will be mounting either a SB-700 or SB-900 to it....with maybe an umbrella...

I have no idea when it comes to brands, etc.... I have been using a pretty cheap one, but need to add another light source to some of my shots...

Advice?

the one that comes to mind is the manfrotto nano, but it's not quite 8'-10'.

at that height, they are kinda heavy... at least from what i've found. i wouldn't sacrifice height for weight.

Manfrotto brand lightstands are nice. Get one that's air cushioned though so your flash doesn't come crashing down if you aren't paying attention.

For something that tall with an umbrella I'd use some type of weight to keep the stand steady as well. Gallon size water jugs bungee'd to the stand will help with that.

I've got a couple lumopro stands that are really nice. They are 8 or 10 ft, can't recall. Older models that I don't think they make any more

here's the newer version: 8ft, air-cushioned, folds down nice and compact.

LumoPro 8' Black A/C Stand

Also the 10ft version for $10 extra

LumoPro LP608 10ft Black A/C Stand

Thanks...these look like just what I was looking for.... I was thinking the Manfrotto, but these appear to have much of the same specs. Thanks!
