Default Monitor Calibrators

I'm looking into monitor calibrators and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations.

Is it work getting the Spyder 3 Elite over the Spyder 3 Express? Is Eye-one prefered over Spyder and if I purchase internationally is it still compatible with Australian monitors? Is it worth investing in custom printer files?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I've used all of the Spyder series and they give pretty much identical results. I prefer the Eye-one software and feel it gives better results...I'm using it with my Spider 3 sensor.

I don't know about investing in custom printer files. I don't do my own printing and use the profiles supplied by my printer.

I have the Spyder 3 Pro. ( for use with multiple monitors or so I was told) and love it. I do not do any printing at home so I do not know about the profiles.
