With all of your help, I have planned to purchase a Manfrotto 190XPROB. Now, I have NO clue what head to buy, so your help would be appreciated. I plan to use this for landscape photography.

Try out both ball heads and 3-way heads. I personally cant stand a ball head and am going for an 804RC2 head (from manfrotto)

heads are kinda personal, not one size fits all...I like a quick grip head like this calumet:


but it wouldn't be a good choice for landscape or a 600mmf4 lens...
