Default Unstacking Filters

Is there a trick to unstacking filters? I sometimes screw the polorizer filter onto the UV filter or the ND filter onto the UV filter and I always have a hard time un screwing them from each other.

Are there any tricks to it?

I can't really answer your question, but I just wanted to say that stacking a lot of glass in front of your lens degrades your image quality. It's better to keep only one, the one you're using at the moment.

If I use more than one filter I usually thread only as far as needed and never tighten them down much.

Channel lock pliers work wonders Just don't ever try to use that filter again.....

Seriously, couple good ideas posted here, but as a last resort, you can buy a filter wrench that is designed for such situations. Looks like it would be really handy with a CPL
