Default Old lenses for D300s or D700

Hello all,

I plan to buy either a D300s or a D700. I already own a Sony A200, Nikon P100 and Nikon N80 (film slr).

I have two sigma lenses (28-80 & 70-300) on my Nikon N80. I would like to know whether I can use those lenses on the new D300s and D700. The lenses have served me well on my film slr, but it is now time to upgrade as my Sony A200 or the Nikon P100 does not suffice anymore.

And also I mostly shoot Macro, Portrait and Wildlife sometimes. Which one would be better D300s or D700?

Please guide.

Regards

Default

N80 was autofocus with bayonet connections, so yes that is unchanged. They will work on both bodies.

As far as your choices go, the crop sensor on the D300s will get you closer to wild life & macro, where the full frame on the D700 will give you a nicer defocused background on portraits and better noise reduction at higher ISO....
