hi all we are looking to upgrade my monitor sorry if this seams a stupid question but can i use my spare 48 inch hd tv or do i have to buy a dedicated pc monitor if so can you advise me as to which is good i use lightroom 3,3 and photoshop cs5

You can use any monitor but the best is to get an IPS monitor. IPS monitor are expensive, but produce the best color and viewable from almost any angle unlike TN monitor.

Do some research on IPS mintor.
