Default Is this type of lighting worth it....

If it is worth it is there anywhere in Canada a person can buy the same package.

Canadian ebay lighting

Looking for lighting to take portraits at home and the guys at the fire hall.

I think it'll be a case of you get what you pay for. That's a whole lotta stuff for not alot of money. That's a red flag for me off the bat. If you're willing to spend that much money you're better off getting one AlienBee (if they ship to Canada) and a reflector, or a speedlight or two. Speedlights are much more portable. AlienBees are great quality for the money and their CS is second to none. You can do a whole lot with eiher of those options. Just look at SusanH's work, or go to Strobist.com and look at David Hobbys. Those too good to be true package deals usually are. But take this with a grain of salt cuz I have no clue what I'm talking about really. Although I do have an AB and a couple speedlites and am very happy that I do.

Better to buy one good light and learn to use it that get a whole slew of lo-fi gear.
