I'm looking to set up a sort of "photo booth" and I want it to be portable. I want a cube about 8'x10' and a curtain to go all the way around it. That will give me a good place to start. The primary things I need are the frame and the curtains. I can modify from there as needed. It has to be portable, so I was hoping for telescoping poles and supports (a lot like a studio strobe stand, but obviously more durable). Also, if I can find something with curtains for the four walls that would be great, but if necessary I can find some or get some made elsewhere.
Any ideas? Thanks!!!

8'x10'!? That's massive.

Maybe 6'x8' - for "self-service" event photography and printing. Want to fit up to 8-10 people in at once. See where I'm going?

Thanks for the suggestion on the trade show booths. All I see is backgrounds though. Nothing with the three other walls. I even thought about one of those 9'x9' tailgating style pop ups that I could add fabric walls to, but the top would prevent any lighting from above. So any more ideas? Links helpful of course too!

@Rhythm - that's the question... what do I use to make a simple, portable wall.
Here's what I'm thinking. I'll use four heavy duty light stands with sand bag weights of course. Then I'll use some 1 1/4" electrical conduit, drill some holes through them on the ends, and put them over the top of the four light stands. I'm going to get some conduit and see what happens.

![]() Use 3/4" or 1" as needed for strength. Glue some fittings together and others leave unglued so it can come apart easily. Put a fitting in the middle of bars so they can be pulled back apart (might want to use screw-on fittings in some places for sturdiness,) Lights can be clamped onto outside for softbox-style lighting or on the inside for harder light. Cloth can be draped over or sewn into curtains and threaded onto the bars.

You can remove the top cover and just use the side walls. |
