Default Should I buy this?

Hi all, I have an opportunity to buy a Canon 40d, old school 4-light Photogenix flashmaster light set, roll of white background paper, 4 memory cards, sigma 28-70mm 2.8 lens (and a couple other not great lenses), a good tripod, nice camera bag all for $600. Good deal or no?

That seems like a decent deal. If you can check the shutter count on the camera, that might be helpful. The last time I checked, a 40D was going for a little better than $400 all by itself. Of course, whether the other stuff is worth anything to you sort of depends on whether you want that other stuff or not!

Thanks! I think it was a pretty decent deal but I decided to pass. I would be using it as a backup camera and decided I'd rather use my current camera as a backup and get a full frame for my main one. Much more expensive of course but I want the extra low-light capabilities and the sensor so I think I'm going to wait until I can justify the expense of that.

To me it all depends on condition.
There are some pretty good prices on newer kit. I think you need to decide if you want the extra stuff, as all in it looks like a fair deal.
