Default Where to buy EF lenses

My wife and I were taking the kids to Chuck E Cheese's (a pizza place/game room/money pit) today. This was going to be the day I finally got the EF 50mm 1.8 lens. There is a Ritz camera store near there (we have no camera stores within an hour drive). I excitedly went into the store only to discover they carry just about every brand except Canon. Where do you Canon users buy lenses? I did a search and found one store online (B&H Photo), but the price quoted is more than what most people say this lens can be had for. Help!

Amazon, B&H, Adorama, Beach Camera, KEH, ... there are a lot of good reputable online sellers. I also frequent a local independent camera store, George's. MPEX is in Columbus, OH if you decide to go Strobist.

Craigslist is also a great resource; just need to be careful and know what you're looking for and what to look for. I kinda stay away from listings if they don't have original box or paperwork
