Default Zeikos D700 / D300 Battery Grip

I just bought a Zeikos ZE-NBG300N battery grip for my D700 and love it. I find it is just as good as the Nikon unit which goes for $235 at B&H versus this one that they sell for $55. I got mine from an individual that did not need it for only $35 shipped which was even better. The quality is excellent, I rate it as good or better than the Nikon one I had for my D80.

Here is the B&H link for it: Zeikos ZE-NBG300 Power Battery Grip ZE-NBG300 B&H Photo Video

PS - as an added plus a Non-Nikon battery that I had from my D80 and D90 that would not work with either my D300 or D700 now works fine in the grip.

Thanks for that info. I've got a new-to-me D300 coming and want a grip. This one will be more affordable right now.

I've recently got the D90 version of the zeikos grip and so far so good. The only thing is that the grip is a bit bigger than the grip on the camera so it is a little bit harder to hold.

I had an off brand for my D300 that worked quite well, especially for the money. The only "negative" was the grip didn't have scroll wheels for camera control when in the vertical position.
The writeup says that one has a "lock"....that's not a scroll wheel shown?

Not sure what you mean by "scroll wheels". Its got the wheel for aperature and shutter speed and has the multiselector and AF button.

scroll wheels...allow you to scroll thru available settings (e.g aperture).
Looks like a great deal.

Guess I am having a comprehension problem today. If you turn the wheel on the back of the unit while holding the mode button on the camera it will scroll through "A", "M", "S", etc....

Oh wow why didn't they put a multi-selector on the d90 version. The grip makes it too far for my thumb to reach the multi-selector.

I may not understand the words multi selector, but the unit has one as it is clearly labelled as such on the picture on the box.

Multi selector is the up, down, left, right and ok button. Command dials are the ones on the front and back of the camera for aperture, shutter speed and changing settings.
