Default Macbook...

Hi, I guess this would fit under this category. Anyway I'm about to purchase my first DSLR and my poor old computer already runs slow enough with my current camera. I'm going to buy a laptop and was wondering which macbook you would recommend. I would prefer to not spend more then around $700 (I'm willing to get one used however), and I was looking at the Apple MacBook Pro MC371LL/A 15.4-Inch Laptop. I saw one used for about $650. I want whatever laptop I get to be able to work quickly with photoshop and to have a lot of room for my pictures. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

A MBP is a very good choice. I have been using one for years as have a number of other people here. You won’t regret it.

Has anyone here actually purchased a used MBP? I'm always leery of refurbs but the prices are decent.
Thanks

As long as the Macbooks were "Refreshed" by Apple I wouldn't worry about it at all. Apple has always been VERY good at revamping their products as if they were brand new. Now if the used Macs are sold by others I'm not so sure about guarantees but Macs are extremely resilent products and tend to maintain their value no matter how long someone has owned them which is a very good sign if you're worried about quality.
