Question Right Angle View Finders

Does anyone out there use any of the inexpensive right angle type view finders (Seagull or Opteka)? If so, does it get much use and was it worth the investment?

Getting those low, ground hugging shots can really be a pain in the..... old joints these days. I was wondering if one of these things might help with comfort and allow for more precise focusing.

Yep, or use a camera w/ a flip screen LCD and live-view......
I personally just don't do much macro work.

Yup, that is what I love about my D5000, that flip screen is very useful.

I do have a P&S with a flip out, & rotating screen (Canon G11) however if I am using my DSLR that is exactly what I do.

That's how I get pics like this.

The reason I brought this up is because I was at the beach a few days ago and had walked out into the surf and setup my camera as low as I could without getting it wet. It was pretty tough to get down low enough to frame the shot and bring it into focus. I got to thinking there had to be a better way to get your eye on the target. Started looking into options and quickly saw that the price swing was considerable between a Canon made device and other brands. Decided I had better do a little more research, before throwing away any money on something that might not ever leave the gadget bag.
