Hi guys.
I have a dilemma and I am looking for some advice. As you can see from my signature I have a Nikon D3000 with some kit lenses, and a few other items. My dilemma is this: I want to upgrade my kit. I think my Scottish attitude got the best of me when my wife offered to buy me my Camera Body. She offered me the choice of D3000 or D5000 with kit lenses, and being how I am I went in to save money mode. I now want to make the best out of my new found enthusiasm. I just don't know which way to go with reference to the kit to buy. I have read a lot of the posts on here and the advice given is all great. I have seen that people have advised to upgrade glass before body's and I can see this way of thinking. I have a list of Glass that I would like to buy over the next few Years (failing wining the Lottery), but I feel I am missing out on some features that my D3000 does not have. At the moment I am more into going out and taking Landscape's, but I would like to also try one light strobist photography. My questions are: 1. Do I buy Full Frame Glass to improve picture quality? or 2. Do I buy a new Body to gain some of the features I would like? This is not an instant buy, I have to save the coffers for these, thus giving me more time to explore and define myself with the kit I have. Thanks for listening to my ramblings. RD
