A buddy of mine had a tripod a long time ago made by Bogen and this thing was beefy. It had to be at least 20lbs or more but it had some really great features that I'm having a hard time finding on anything they have now. It had those middle support bars that you could lock by twisting a knob in and it also had leg release buttons near the tops of the legs (3 release buttons). This thing was massive and I can't seem to pinpoint the exact model number. It was all steel but the best part was how low this thing could get.
Help! The 3051 seems to be the closest but now that I think about it, if there are any other tripods that can get low and have a leg release like this one did, I'm all for it. I currently use a 3001B Pro but I hate the leg lock mechanism. This looks close but the buttons weren't red. Not that color matters =P Bogen Manfrotto 3051 Tripod with 3063 Head - eBay (item 160519959354 end time Jan-14-11 15:56:08 PST) |
