Default Best place to purchase (USA)

(I would swear I have seen threads about this, but I have searched and searched and cant seem to locate any)

I am looking at a SB-900 and have found B&H to be the lowest pricing.

But I am wondering if there are better sites, places to purchase equipment from?

You might find a random sale somewhere else, but to my knowledge, B&H is the best place to go.

Default beware of online scam shops

B&H is reliable, which is important.
Do not deceide to buy anything from a 'cheap' online shop unless you have read this advice about online photography scams:

Shop Digital Direct, Broadway photo and other online scam photography shops warning. | ExposedPlanet Photography Blog

People are still falling for these every day!

The SB900 is pretty new and is probably priced by the top vendors at about the same pricing...give or take a few bucks. You won't go wrong using companies like B&H and Adorama. I would seriously shy away if it were priced much much lower elsewhere...it's probably a bait and switch, or bundled with something you don't want or need, or you just may never get it.

Thanks, great advice I was considering. Wouldnt even think of getting something like this from anyone/anywhere without some kind of reputation.

Just wanting to make sure I am covering all my bases.

Been trying to give my local guy most of my business, but he is 40.00 higher on this and I am finding that hard to justify.

Thanks again.
